I hope all is good in your world. I have been really busy over the summer, writing the second book in the Beamer Street series, which I cannot wait to talk about, but more of that in future posts.

Back in May, I was delighted to join fellow authors and publishing friends at the fabulous Boldwood Summer Party at Fulham Palace in London. It was fabulous to catch up with writer and publishing friends, and to make new ones. The weather was glorious and I got to catch up with my wonderful agent, Caroline. The food and the fizz were flowing and everyone had a fabulous time, including the supremely confident fox, out for a leisurely evening stroll.

My next trip to London was in August for the Romantic Novelists Association conference – and what a conference it turned out to be! This year we were treated to a literary quiz on Friday evening, which was a loud and lovely affair – the competition was fierce and so hilarious I can’t even remember our score. But our team, ‘The Saga Sisters’, which included the prolific Lizzy Lane and multi published author, Fenella Miller.

Then, after a day of fantastic talks on Saturday, one of which included an enlightening talk, given by Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York and her Colabor-Writer, Marguerite Kaye, we were treated to an evening barbeque hosted by my publisher, Boldwood Books.evening

Then, to make sure the pounds didn’t settle on thighs for too long, we danced the night away – well, some did. Where do these writers get their energy! I was exhausted just watching them…. Gone are the days when I could dance the legs off myself and still get up next day and do a full day’s work! Oh the joy 😊 .
